OK Well luckily it, as far as I know, it was a slow winter but sadly
there is a death to remember today. Billy Sam (Sammie) Mathews, Jr.
another porter/Clinton classmate has passed away.

with the Parade on Thursday afternoon.

Birthday Bash" Part Deux!!
October 25, 2008 -- The
date of the next Class of 1976 event. That will be Saturday after
Homecoming.

Our next scheduled Birthday Bash II will be at Cherokee Resort on
Saturday, October 25, 2008. We are also planning a day at Chandler
Park on Sunday afternoon, October 26, 2008. We hope these dates work
with your schedule or you can arrange your schedule around them. Please
forward this email to anyone not in the list above, including your
siblings and friends who also attended any school years with you. Or
feel free to send their email address or mailing address to us. We will
mail this to those we don't have email addresses for, if we can find
their address. The more the merrier to help us celebrate and honor our
50 years. Each party would need to contact us with prepayment for the
event, from now until September 18, 2008. We have opened a BOK account
for DWHS Class of '76 to deposit money received for this and future
class events. Make checks payable to DWHS Class of '76, mailing address
listed below.
We'd like to request anyone with pictures from past class reunions or
memorabilia from school days to please send copies by email or USPS to
Carolyn (Smith) Dickerson. We are trying to create some fund raisers and
think a DVD/video of our past events combined on one medium would make
great treasured moments. We'd also like to create a DWHS Class of '76
Event Committee of Volunteers for this event and future events. Anyone
interested please contact Carolyn or myself who are initiating this so
we can hopefully keep it going for years to come <s>.

Activity is really picking up on the reunion. I am starting to hear more and more from other 70's classes! Way to go guys!

More about the reunion.
I would like to clarify some things as I have just added more email addresses.
The high school reunion will be extended to grads in the 70's.
Place: Los Cabos in Jenks America at the Riverwalk
Date: Saturday, September 29
Time: Starting at 6:00. Shuttle will be provided at the Aquarium
Cost: Tent - $700, food $20 per person
Menu: White Queso, Tortilla Chips, Fresh Roasted Salsa
Beef and Chicken Fajitas
Mexican Rice and Borracho Beans
Margarita Cheesecake, New York Style Cheesecake
Beverages - Iced Tea
Bar: Guests will be on separate bar tabs.
I will provide those desiring to dine with an "id" type bracelet (like you get at amusement parks, etc).
I am asking that the money for the dinner be sent by September 3 in care of:

I am still in need of donations for the tent. Ron (Forristall) had talked many times of having this reuinion. I am doing this to honor his wishes.

Schooley is putting together a class of '77 reunion and the class is
inviting everyone that graduated in the mid 1970's. Everything I
know is below and I will update it as I get information.
I have tentatively scheduled the reunion for September
29. I did find out that we can get "shuttled" from the Jenks Aquarium
parking lot. This was my big concern.
I would like to extend our reuion to other mid 70's Webster grads. I
need to hear from everyone so I can plan on a number. At first I
thought 60 would be about right but if other grads are added, it will
need to go up.
This will be informal, of course but really we could make it a lot of
fun.
Thoughts will be appreciated. I am awaiting more information from Los
Cabos.

1974 Webster gratuate and sister to our classmates Leslie Regal Davis and
Linda Reagle Keith Passed away May 8th 2007. She had been battling lung
cancer for a few years. According to Moore's Southlawn, funeral services
will be held on Friday May 11, 2007 at their chapel 9350 E. 51st (between
Memorial and Mingo on 51st.) Tulsa, OK at 2:00 P.M. Viewing sill start tomorrow
May 10, 2007.
